Real Racing 3 on iPad screen view

Hi, I play RR3 on an iPad, but it seems it is optimized for the wide screen ratio of iPhones, so the "bonnet" view means you cannot see the edges of the bonnet so keep misjudging how wide cars are and inadvertently clip cars when trying to pass. Also the icon for the following car keeps vanishing off the bottom of the screen so sometimes you don't know where people are behind you! Is it possible to adjust the game so it detects the device being used and adjusts it accordingly?
